My job isn’t just to take a flattering photo.

My job is to guide you — posture, expression, subtle adjustments — so you look natural, confident, and like yourself on your best day.

You don’t need to be photogenic.

You need direction.

I provide that.

Before photography became my business, I spent more than 25 years working with people. That experience taught me how much difference a little patience, clear direction, and genuine connection can make.

Those same things now shape the way I photograph people. My goal isn't simply to make you look good — it's to create an experience where you feel comfortable enough to actually look like yourself.

My why

I didn't start my working life as a photographer. For more than 25 years, I worked with people in an entirely different setting — listening, paying attention, and learning how much trust matters when someone feels uncomfortable or unsure of themselves.

When photography became a bigger part of my life, I realized those skills came with me.

Most of the people I photograph aren't models, and they don't want to be. They're professionals who are good at what they do but suddenly feel completely out of their element when a camera is pointed at them.

That's the part of photography I love.

Taking someone from *“I hate having my picture taken”* to *“Wow... I actually like that picture of me”* never gets old.

That's my why.

PORTRAITS WITH PURPOSE

I've photographed a lot of different things over the years, but I kept coming back to people. There's something satisfying about creating an image that isn't just a nice photograph, but one that actually has a job to do.

A headshot can introduce you before you ever walk into the room. Branding images can help someone understand who you are and what your business feels like before you've ever spoken.

That's where “Portraits with Purpose” came from. I want to create images that look great, of course — but more importantly, images you'll actually be proud to put to work for you.
